Imogene Grella, a beloved figure in her community, passed away on June 8, 2025, in Cheyenne, Wyoming, at the age of 87. Born on December 27, 1937, in Arcadia, Nebraska, Imogene's life was defined by her unwavering dedication to family and her impactful career in beauty and education.
As the owner of MiLady Beauty Salon, Imogene provided not only services to her clients but also a welcoming space where friendships flourished. Her work extended to the Laramie County School District , where she contributed her efforts in shaping young minds and fostering a sense of community, through food services. Throughout her life, she was known for her vibrant personality and her ability to connect with those around her.
Imogene was deeply proud of her family. She married Stanley Grella on December 27, 1957, sharing a loving partnership for many years. Together, they raised two children: Teri Kimbro of New Trenton, Indiana, and Brent Grella, who resides with his wife, Alice, in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Imogene cherished her role as a grandmother to Owen Grella and wife Jenna, as well as to Aaron Grella and wife Katy, both families residing in Leander, Texas. Her grandchildren were a source of pride and joy, and she delighted in all their achievements.
Imogene’s interests extended beyond her family and work. She was an avid fan of Denver Nuggets basketball and had a particular fondness for socializing and attending the Molly B Polka Show. Her spirit and zest for life were infectious, reflecting her belief in enjoying every moment to its fullest.
Imogene was also a proud member of Eagles Lodge # 128, where she contributed her time and energy to the betterment of her community. Her legacy is one of warmth, generosity, and a spirited love for life.
She is preceded in death her beloved husband Stanley Grella, by her parents, Leonard True and Nellie True, and her brothers, Gerald True and Ron True. Though they are no longer with her, their memories live on in the hearts of her surviving family.
In honor of her life, a Celebration of Life will be held on June 16, 2025, at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens located at 4701 Christensen Rd, Cheyenne, WY. The service will begin at 10:30 AM.
Imogene Grella will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know her. Her warmth, generosity, and indomitable spirit have left an indelible mark on the hearts of her family and friends, ensuring her memory will endure through the lives she touched.
The family would like to especially thank the entire staff of Cheyenne Cancer Center and Dr. Slota whom all became our dearest friends this past year and a half.
