Gilbert Anthony Ramirez Sr., beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on December.ber 21, 2025. Born on October 29, 1939, in Cheyenne, Wyoming, to John and Candelaria Ramirez, Gilbert lived a life full of dedication, hard work, and love.

On November 15, 1958, he married the love of his life, Mary Ramirez, and together they raised a beautiful family, blessed with seven children, which he is survived by Veronica Ramirez, Tony Ramirez, Liz DeMeo, Greg Ramirez, Jim Ramirez, and Chris Ramirez. Gilbert's legacy continues through his eight grandchildren,Anthony Ortiz, Jason Ortiz, Miranda Hofer, Willy Ramirez, Zoe Ramirez, Kameron Ramirez Julia Demeo, and Jocelyn Ramirez; and two great-grandchildren, Kenna Ortiz and Bear Hofer. He was preceded into death by John Ramirez, Candelaria Hayes, and Shirley Hofer.

A skilled cement mason, Gilbert owned Gil's Concrete in Cheyenne before moving to Las Vegas, where he worked for various contractors and took great pride in his role in building many of the city's renowned casinos. His craftsmanship and dedication to his work were admired by all who knew him.

Gilbert was a man of strong values and deep affection for his family, who will remember him for his kindness, wisdom, and unwavering support. He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will resonate through generations.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported them during this difficult time. A Vigil for the Deceased to honor Gilbert’s memory will be held on December 29th at 6:15 p.m. at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes. His Funeral Liturgy will be December 30th at 10:30 a.m.,  at St.Joseph's Catholic Church, and reception to follow at 1:30 to 4:30 at Little America.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St.Joseph's Food Pantry.

Rest in peace, Gilbert. Your spirit will forever be cherished in our hearts.
