Gerald “Jerry” Leslie Blessing died Wednesday, October 21, 2026. Jerry will be remembered for his devotion to family, his service to others, his strong work ethic, and his lifelong love of motorcycles and the outdoors.
Jerry proudly served in the United States Navy. After his military service, he built a long and accomplished career with the State of Wyoming, working as an Office Machine Technician for more than 30 years before retiring. Dedicated to his profession, he earned numerous certifications throughout his career.
Many years ago in Sterling, Colorado, Jerry demonstrated remarkable courage when he helped rescue two men from drowning after their boat capsized. His actions reflected the bravery and willingness to help others that remained an important part of who he was.
An avid motorcycle enthusiast and rider, Jerry spent many years as a member of the Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.) and enjoyed attending motorcycle rallies. He also loved the outdoors and treasured the many summers he spent camping.
Family held a special place in Jerry’s heart. With his first wife, Evie JoAnn Blessing, he adopted his beloved daughter, Anna Marie Blessing. He was immensely proud to become her father and lovingly wrote each of her birth announcements by hand. Jerry was later married to Mary Blessing and shared his later years with his wife, Dorothy Blessing.
Jerry leaves a legacy of service, courage, adventure, and love. His stories, accomplishments, and devotion to those he loved will be remembered by his family and all who knew him.
