Frieda Marie Jost

Frieda Jost (Newman), born on April 10, 1934, in Boonville, Missouri, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2026, in Cheyenne, Wyoming, at the age of 92. Frieda was the beloved wife of the late Arthur Jost and the cherished daughter of Roberta and Frank Newman. She was also predeceased by her sister, Patricia Knox. She is survived by her loving family; son Charlie Jost; daughters Tonia Bussard-Shea (Daniel) and Sandra (Raymond) Jost-Shupe; brother Marion Newman; sister and best friend Janet Jacobs. Frieda was a proud grandmother to Christopher (Rachelle) Bussard; Katherine Shupe; Christopher Shea and Crosby Shea as well as a devoted great-grandmother to Justice and Jason.

Frieda’s long life was marked by love for her family and the bonds she shared with those closest to her. Her memory will be treasured by all who knew her. May Frieda’s legacy bring comfort to those who mourn her passing. A Funeral Liturgy will be held on July 9, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Interment will follow the service at Olivet Cemetery. A Vigil Service and Rosary will be held at Wiederspahn-Radomsky on July 8, 2026, at 6:00 pm. A viewing will precede the service starting at 4:00 pm on Wednesday.
