Forest Wayne Bixler

Forest “Wayne” Bixler aka Woody, 93 years old, died at home August 23, 2025, with his family at his side. He was born in Trail, OH. He served in the Navy and Retired from the Air Force and Civil Service. He married Patricia (Clay) Bixler, February 28, 1960. He was a long-time member of the Elks, American Legion, Moose, VFW, and Cheyenne Frontier Days Volunteer. Wayne loved his family and all the family gatherings, camping, fishing and woodworking. Survivors are his loving wife Patricia; children Jo Edmisten, Ken (Marianne) Bixler, Tim (Paula) Bixler; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and special nieces and nephews. Wayne was proceeded in death by his parents, Raymond and Elizabeth (Pfister) Yoder; and sisters, Elsie Harder, Edna Klett and Marilyn Wohlheter. 

A Graveside service will be held Tuesday, September 30th, 11:00 am at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens, with a reception to follow at the American Legion Auxillary Room.
