Florence Connie Marquez - Pino, 72, of Cheyenne, passed at Davis Hospice on Wednesday, September 24th, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 24th, 1953, in Wheatland, WY to Celestino Pino and Patsy Ruiz - Serna. Florence, aka “Miss Flo” was a childcare provider who owned her own home daycare for well over a decade. Taking care of children was her passion, she raised children as young as infants up to toddlers. While no child is the same, she cared for each child as if they were her own. This included caring for and raising her own grandchildren amongst the other kids. Miss Flo instilled respect, responsibility and kindness in the children to carry on strong traits that will last a lifetime.
Florence loved family traditions, holidays and birthdays. A day couldn’t go by without her reminding you of these occasions, especially her own. Flo would always make sure you would know that her birthday was coming up, so a gift better be in mind. While she loved being treated to nice things, she loved even more giving things. She would give the shirt off her back even if there was little to nothing to give. Florence loved to cook for family and friends and her most popular dish which has been carried on through her children was her Chicken mole and Spanish rice. Florence’s faith was unwavering through her Christian beliefs and her love for the Lord Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. She is survived by her three children; Felicia (Ron) Christensen, Raquel aka “Kellie” (Rob) Christensen and Mario (Cecelia) Gonzales; five grandchildren Alyssa (Josh) Pena, Jonathan and Jaylyn Christensen (twins), Adelaide Gonzales and Ethan Gonzales (siblings); four siblings, Roque Pino, Lydia Castro, Ronnie Pino and Tina Barrientos; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Florence was preceded in death by her loving parents Celestino Pino and Patsy (Abel) Ruiz – Serna; her sisters Teresa Castillo and Patty Pino; her niece Kristy Hernandez; and her sister-in-law Vicki Pino.
