A Life Filled with Love
With heavy hearts and cherished memories, we announce the passing of our beloved Fabiola Montemayor who was born on May 30,1937 in Arroyo Seco, New Mexico and passed away on October 13, 2026, at the age of 89.
Fabiola was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, wife, and friend whose love for family was at the center of her life. She always had a special way of bringing people together, creating memories, and making those around her feel welcomed, loved, and valued.
To know Fabiola was to know her kindness, her love, her generosity, her wisdom and to feel her prayers. Whether through heartfelt conversations, family gatherings, words of encouragement, or simply just being there she created memories that will be treasured for generations.
Her Heart
She took great pride in her family and found joy in watching her loved ones grow, celebrating milestones, and sharing life’s special moments.
Some of the most treasured memories include our Christmas gatherings that included our tamale line with batches sometimes exceeding 500 tamales. We cherished our birthday dinners with her famous enchiladas and rice, our bible lessons, Sunday mass, walks in the park, ice cream trips to McDonald’s, tennis lessons, and reading to us and with us. All these moments, big and small, are reminders of the love she gave so consistently.
Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that the love Fabiola gave us will never fade. The lessons she taught, the values she instilled, and the memories we created together will continue to guide and unite our family.
Cherish the Memories
Fabiola leaves behind a loving family who will forever hold her close in their hearts.
She is survived by her husband Robert Montemayor, sons Robert Montemayor (Georgia), Dickie Montemayor (Vanessa) and daughter Diana Montemayor; grandchildren Tanisha Alirez (Leo), DeAnna Montemayor, George Jimas (Jazzmin) Quentin Montemayor (Mitch), and Dylan Jimas; great-grandchildren Jaslyn, Jacian, Janaya, Manuel, Isaac, Cruzito, and Wilkie; great great-grandchildren Kaine, Kevin, and Jailani; siblings Margaret Gallegos; and an abundance of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
Fabiola is preceded in death by her parents Santanita and Agapito Martinez, son Jackie Montemayor, siblings Blas Martinez, Adonias Martinez, John C. Martinez, Tobias (Toby) Martinez, and other loved ones who have previously passed away. What a glorious celebration of their reunion in Heaven.
Each family member carries a special memory, a valuable lesson, and a piece of Fabiola’s heart. Though we must learn to live without her physical presence, the love we shared will remain a part of us forever.
A Legacy That Lives On
The true measure of a life is not only in the years lived, but in the love shared and the lives touched along the way.
Fabiola’s legacy will live on through her children, grandchildren, and every person fortunate enough to have known her. We will honor her memory by loving one another, praying for each other, staying connected, cherishing our family, and carrying forward the values she taught us.
We celebrate not only the life we have lost, but the incredible gift of having shared it with her. We will miss her voice, her smile, her singing, her dancing, her presence, and all the little things that made her so incredibly special,
You will forever be a part of our family, our stories, and our hearts.
