Emma J. Thomas

Missonary Emma J. Thomas born November 21st, 1944 in Marianna, Arkansas to Sam and Johnnie Lee Larry. She married the love of her life Pastor Jewel Thomas March 31, 1965. They both relocated to Cheyenne, Wyoming in 1967. She was blessed with six children Sharon, Dwayne, Alvin, Lisa, Connie, Tammy and one honorary son, John Larry.

Emma became first lady of New Hope Church of God in Christ where she served the Lord for twenty-two years. March 31, 2026 she was able to celebrate 61 years of marriage in the Lord.

April 2, 2026, she was peacefully called home to be with the Lord.

She is preceded in death by her children Sharon, Dwayne, Alvin, Lisa and Tammy. Her parents Same and Johnnie Lee Larry, three sisters and two brothers.

She is survived by her husband Pastor Jewel Thomas, one daughter Connie Turner, one Son John Larry (Marilyn Larry) sisters Lousie Peterson and Essie (Mac) Brooks, one brother Elder Emmit Larry., four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be Monday April 13, 2026, at 11:00 am located at Holy Temple COGIC, 1517 Walnut Dr., followed by burial at Beth El cemetery.
