Emilio Louis Cruz, of Cheyenne, WY and Bakersfield, CA died unexpectedly on May 27, 2025 at the age of 44. Emilio is survived by his parents; brother; David Cruz (Kristin), sisters; Ashley Cruz (Daniel DeHerrera) and Anna Harper (Paul), sons; Mario, Leondro, Xavier, Angelo, daughter; Jaelyn. Nephews; Daniel Jr, Kevin III, Roman and Thiago, Nieces; Tyanna, Janessa, Camilla, Amiyah, Mia and Viviana. Grandchildren; Joseph, Grayson, Andreas, Elias, Braelynn and Jayden. Godchildren; Rosie, Elexia, Gabriel and Areyana and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Emilio was born in Cheyenne, WY on June 23, 1980 to Christina Gutierrez and Louie Cruz. He attended East High School and graduated from Cheeks Cosmetology and received his certification to pursue his dream as a barber. Emilio was a devoted father, brother, uncle and son. He loved his career as a barber and loved meeting new people and participated in numerous charity events giving free haircuts to the public.
He enjoyed spending time with family and friends while listening to his oldies, cruising, cooking, and always cracking jokes. He loved the LA Dodgers and was a die-hard Raiders fan.
He was a spiritual man and was devoted to reading his bible every day. Emilio will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Virginia Gutierrez and Juanita Castro; and his grandfather, John Gutierrez and numerous uncles, cousins and aunt.
A Viewing will be at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel, from 11-4 On Thursday, June 5, followed by a Vigil for the Deceased, which is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on June 5, 2025 at Wiedersphan Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes and funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. on June 6, 2025 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Father August Koeune officiating, burial to follow at Olivet Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gill Valdez, Eddie Fernandez, Daniel DeHerrera, Daniel DeHerrera-Cruz, Kevin Henry II, Kevin Henry III and Glenn Burns. Honorary pallbearers will be all of his godchildren. Flowers, donations and condolences may be offered at 2543 E. 13th St, Cheyenne, WY 82001.
