Edward Deloyd Robinson was born March 11, 1948 in Delhi, Louisiana to Bob and Willie Robinson. He was 1 of 11 children. After graduating from Oak Grove High School, Louisiana, he was drafted into the U.S. Army Infantry Division, and assigned to the A Company 1st Battalion 5th Cavalry 1st Air Cavalry Division and into an air mobile unit. Where he was deployed to Vietnam in 68-69. He received the Combat Infantry Badge, Bronze Star with Valor and Oak Leaf Clusters, Air Medal with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters, and Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry. After Vietnam, he re-enlisted, joining the All-Army Pistol Team, serving a total of 8 years in the U.S. Army.

Following his service, after working various power plant and refinery welding jobs around the country, he settled in Cheyenne, Wyoming. There he started his career at Rivet Mile ICBM site maintenance at F.E. Warren AFB, where he retired as site supervisor in April 2009, marking 31 years of combined service. Ed enjoyed hunting, fishing, training dogs for field trials and hunt tests. He loved time in the mountains, traveling with his son to various car shows, and spending time with family and friends. 

He is survived by his wife Elaine (son Brandon); son Johnny (Autumn and son Steven); sisters Jean, Faye; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his late wife Laura; parents Bob and Willie; siblings Bobbie Mae, Dewitt, Betty Sue, Patricia, Barbara Jane, Johnny, Anna, and Tammy. 

Services will be held at Cheyenne National Cemetery, with Full Military Honors on August 17th, 2026, at 1pm. There will be a Celebration of Life at the American Legion Hall following the service at the National Cemetery.  Please send all flowers to the American Legion on August 17, 2026.
