Edith Maxine Janzen, 97, of Cheyenne, died Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.
She was born February 22, 1919 in Neligh, Nebraska, a daughter of Ray and Roxy (Williamson) Baker. She moved at a young age to South Dakota with her family where she received her schooling. She lived in Casper for a short while before moving to Cheyenne in 1943. She married Robert Janzen on February 16, 1941 in Iowa.
Survivors include two sons, Jon Janzen of Cheyenne; Gerald (Judith) Janzen of Portland, Oregon; eight grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a daughter, Roxanne Padget; and four brothers, Duane, Lyle, Elwood and Don Baker.
Life Commemoration Services will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
