Edith “Edie” Liotis was released from the grips of ALS on April 18, 2026.

She was born in Sheridan, Wyoming, on July 20, 1948, to J. Baird and Jeanette Janney. Edie grew up in Sheridan and graduated from Sheridan High School in 1966. She later attended Sheridan College, where she met Ted Liotis. The two married in 1969 and later divorced in 1980.

Throughout her life, Edie lived in Ohio, Virginia, Germany, Texas, and Iowa, and worked for the American Red Cross. In 1985, she returned to Wyoming, settling in Cheyenne, where she worked for the State of Wyoming Department of Family Services.

In 1994, Edie found her life partner, Larry Biggio. Together, they shared a love of travel, were active members of a gourmet group, and participated in the Mia Maria Sons of Italy organization.

Edie is survived by her partner, Larry; her sister, Lynn (Randy) Reece; her sister-in-law, Connie Janney; and Larry’s family, including his brothers Chuck (Chrissie) Biggio and Tom (Carol) Biggio, and his sister Sue (Mark) Pecoraro. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and their families, as well as many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Rod Janney.

At her request, no services will be held. Her ashes will be scattered at a later date in the Bighorn Mountains above Sheridan.
