Duane Von Krosigk, 90, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away on September 24, 2025, surrounded by family.
Born on February 5, 1935, Duane lived a life defined by service, leadership, and love for his community and family. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War before returning home to build a lasting legacy in Cheyenne.
For over 40 years, Duane owned and operated Industrial Distributors, where he worked tirelessly and built strong relationships within the business community. Beyond his professional career, Duane played an instrumental role in shaping the Cheyenne community. He was one of the founders of the Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum and also a co-founder and on the board of Western Bank.
Duane was a past President of the Cowboy Joe Club and the Cheyenne Kiwanis Club, and he dedicated many years of volunteer service to Cheyenne Frontier Days, serving as Night Show Chairman, Tickets Chairman, and General Chairman.
A devoted sports fan, Duane loved football, baseball, and golf. He cheered passionately for the Wyoming Cowboys, Denver Broncos, and Colorado Rockies. More than anything, he treasured being a father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ilene Von Krosigk, and his son, Dean Von Krosigk.
He is survived by his son Dale (Alisa) Von Krosigk; grandchildren Devon, Dustin & Kacee Von Krosigk; great grandchildren Willow & Branch.
Duane will be remembered for his dedication to family, his service to community, and his unwavering love for Wyoming traditions.
In lieu of flowers, my family is asking that you instead donate to the Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum
