Donald "DJ" Gene McMenus, Jr.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Donald Gene McMenus (DJ), of Cheyenne, WY, age 47, who was born on May 1, 1978, and passed away on February 13, 2026, in Cheyenne, WY.

DJ was preceded in death by his father, Donald Gene McMenus Sr.; his grandparents, William and Justine Saunders; his uncles, Dean Saunders, and William Saunders (Bill); Cousin Aaron Saunders and his great nephew, VG.

He is lovingly survived by his mother, Shirley McMenus; his beloved children, Tylre McMenus and Tanner Reynolds; the mother of his children, Ryan Reynolds; his sister, Pamela McMenus; his niece, Domanique (Nikki) McMenus; his nephews, Christopher Torralba and Javier Torralba II; and several great-nieces and nephews.

DJ grew up in Cheyenne, Wyoming, with his parents and remained deeply connected to his roots. He built a successful career as a contract and financial analyst, working in the health care industry for many years. He was respected for his dedication, professionalism, and strong work ethic.

Above all else, DJ loved his children more than anything. They were the center of his world and his greatest pride. He was passionate about his photography, gardening, and art, he also deeply loved music, and found great joy and companionship in his dog, Diggy.

DJ will be remembered for his love of family, his creativity, and the lasting impact he made on those who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
