In Loving Memory of Dan Koldenhoven

March 19, 1985 – October 7, 2026

“Only the good die young.”

Dan Koldenhoven was born on March 19, 1985, in Denver, Colorado, and passed away on October 7, 2026, at just 41 years old. Taken from this world far too soon, Dan leaves behind a lifetime of memories, endless love, and countless broken hearts.

Dan was truly one of a kind. He had the most contagious laugh, a larger-than-life personality, and a way of making everyone around him smile. His laughter was unforgettable, and his presence could light up any room. He worked hard, played hard, and loved even harder. If someone needed help, Dan was always willing to lend a hand. He had a generous heart and would do just about anything for the people he cared about, never expecting anything in return.

Dan had a passion for adventure and living life to the fullest. Whether he was riding dirt bikes, four-wheeling, jet skiing, or camping with family and friends, he loved being outdoors, having fun, and making memories. He wasn't afraid of a little dirt, hard work, or a new adventure. He believed life was meant to be lived, and he certainly knew how to enjoy it.

Dan also took tremendous pride in his career in the oilfield, working as an Oil Rig Manager, better known as a "Pusher." He was a hardworking, dedicated man who wasn't afraid to put in long hours and do whatever it took to get the job done. His strong work ethic, determination, and loyalty were qualities that defined him both professionally and personally.

But above all else, Dan loved his family. He loved fiercely, deeply, and without hesitation. His wife and children meant the world to him, and the love he had for them will never fade. He shared a special bond with his brother, Tim, and loved his parents and extended family dearly. Family meant everything to Dan, and the memories they made together will be cherished forever.

Dan is survived by his loving wife, Misty Koldenhoven; their two beautiful children Chase David (9) and Bailey Nicole (6); brother Tim Koldenhoven; sister-in-law Lori Koldenhoven; father Bruce Koldenhoven and stepmother Lori Koldenhoven; mother Diane Erikson; stepfather Erik Erikson; along with countless nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and many dear friends who loved him beyond words.

Forty-one years was nowhere near enough. There were still so many adventures to take, memories to make, laughs to share, and milestones to celebrate. There should have been more family vacations, more camping trips, more laughter around the campfire, and so many more ordinary days together that now mean everything.

Dan's absence will be felt in the quiet moments, at every family gathering, on every adventure, and in every milestone his children reach. While nothing can fill the space he leaves behind, his love will continue to live on through Chase and Bailey, through the stories shared by those who knew him, and through the countless lives he touched.

Dan leaves behind a legacy of hard work, loyalty, generosity, laughter, and a love that will never fade. He lived with passion, loved with his whole heart, and left an unforgettable mark on everyone lucky enough to know him.

Only the good die young, and Dan was one of the good ones.

Forever loved. Forever missed. Never forgotten.

A Celebration of Life honoring Dan is tentatively planned for Saturday, November 14, 2026. Additional details, including the time and location, will be shared with family and friends once arrangements are finalized.

Family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate Dan's life, share memories, and remember the laughter, love, and adventures that made him so special.
