Cody Ryon Henry, 51, of Sterling, Co passed away Thursday August 20, 2026. A service will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Tennant Funeral Home in Sterling.

Cody was born on August 31,1974 in Sterling Colorado to Monte Henry and Donna (Lapp) Hardamon. Growing up Cody was never one to sit still for long. He loved being outdoors, going to work with his Dad, Uncle and Grandpa pouring concrete ditches, and spending time with cousins finding some sort of adventure.

He had a wild and mischievous spirit from the beginning. He was active in 4H and rodeo. Those years reflected so much of who he was, independent, fearless, and always up for a bit of fun. He had many friends that he would have considered brothers growing up as well.

Cody attended Sterling High School and shortly after worked as a mechanic for Montgomery Wards. Later, he worked at Pioneer Distributing where he spent 25 years. Cody truly enjoyed his time in the beer industry and could tell you anything you’d want to know about their products. He found a love for cooking and taking on new recipes. He could often be found in the kitchen whipping up home cooked meals for the people he loved. He also enjoyed being able to take family and friends to attend Colorado Rockies games. He will be missed by so many.

Cody is survived by daughters Kylie (Dylan) Reyes of Sterling,Colorado; Chloe (Max) Quint of Atwood, Colorado; his father Monte (Loretta) Henry of Cheyenne, Wyoming; mother Donna (Charley) Hardamon of Vail, Arizona; sisters Trudy (Dave) Kiolbasa of Cheyenne, Wyoming; Ceri (Matthew) Russell of Milliken, Colorado; six grandchildren Riatta, Olivia, Hazelee, Jax, Callie, and Bo; lastly his loyal dog Wohali.

He was preceded in death by son Dustin Dail; and grandparents Cecil and Mildred Henry, and John and Alberta Lapp. Donations can be made for Cody to Kylie Henry. They can be sent to 322 Lincoln St., Sterling, CO 80751.
