Christopher Robert "Bob" Anderson

Christopher Robert "Bob" Anderson was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming on February 14. 1940. Bob passed away at Davis Hospice on May 28, 2026, doing what he enjoyed, talking to the sweet young nurses.

Although most people knew him as Bob, he was also known as Robert, and his swimming team called him Andy. Not until Medicare, did anyone call him Christopher.

During high school he was a lifeguard at the Cheyenne Country Club, but he also assisted plumbers at P.S. Cook Plumbing. He really enjoyed this work and learned great life skills. This allowed him to become a plumbers helper in Laramie to help him pay for his college education at University of Wyoming (UW). He became quite good at it and helped many friends with their plumbing issues.

Bob was an avid hunter, so when he started dating Susan (Sue) Gray and discovered she wanted to learn how to hunt, he was thrilled. They were married in August of 1963 and known as "Bob and Sue".

After graduating in Education in 1965 from UW, he started a 31-year career at McCormick Jr. High School teaching 8th grade American History. He left a wonderful legacy- parents who were struggling with their 8th graders would ask how he tolerated them. His reply

"somebody has to love them".

He also loved to tell anyone who would listen, stories about American and Wyoming history.

Together, Bob and Sue enjoyed hunting and camping, later adding ATV riding which they truly loved. When they retired, they had wonderful road trips with the goal of visiting every state, they made all but one ... New Jersey. Some of their adventures even took them across the pond. They visited several European countries in the company of their lifelong friends, Jim and Edena Seaton.

Bob is survived by his wife, Sue Anderson, cousins Jeff and wife Shelly Dau ma of Cheyenne and Judy Williams of Wheatland. He was proceeded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Cook Anderson, and his brother George H. Anderson.

Bob requested no funeral services. He was a simple man, that loved sitting back, with a beer in hand, a smile on his face and watching others enjoy life. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a favorite organization.
