Listen to Obituary

Charles Cecil “Chuck” Millhollin Jr, 90, of Cheyenne Wyoming passed away peacefully at home early on September 4, 2025. He was born on September 20, 1934, in Lander Wyoming to Charles Cecil Millhollin and Pearl Mae Mitchell.

After serving 2 years in the US Army, Chuck graduated from the University of Wyoming in 1961 and married Joan Kay Hancock on April 11, 1967, in Lander. He dedicated his life to God and was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1970 and remained faithful until his death. Chuck worked as a lab technician at US Steel in Atlantic City, Wyoming before the mine closed in 1983. In 1984 Chuck and Joan moved the family to southern Missouri to assist two small congregations, which became a memorable and pivotal time for their children’s faith. On retirement in 1994 from the USGS Water Quality Laboratory in Denver, Colorado, he moved to Saratoga Wyoming with his wife and daughter Heather.

Chuck was a man of few words and many talents: bird carving, home renovation, building furniture, expert jig making, stained glass artist, and sharing a good joke. He deeply loved his family and passed on his love of fishing to his son Josh and grandson Nick. He was instrumental in creating many positive memories with his family including camping, fishing, enjoying nature, making treasure hunts, and just spending time with his growing family. His gentle hands and steady ways gave calmness to all and became a fine example of a man and father.

Chuck is preceded in death by both parents, siblings Cecelia Kibbe, Lucy Desmond, and Walter Millhollin.

He is survived by his wife Joan, daughters Leah Robak and Heather Millhollin of Cheyenne, son Joshua (Tami) Millhollin, grandchildren Ashley (Adrian) Trujillo, Hallie (Robert) Ewing, Nicholas (Megan) Millhollin- all of Colorado, Bailey (Garret) Trujillo of Albuquerque NM, and Kathleen and Marzena Robak of Cheyenne; 5 great-grandchildren Tazelynn, Clyde, Remmi, Orion, and Tidus Trujillo; a brother Kermit Millhollin of Lander WY and nieces and nephews. We give an honorable mention to Tracy Hall of Synergy for her kind assistance in the last years of his life.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday September 13, 2025, at 4:00 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 3422 N College Dr #1, Cheyenne.
