Charles Garcia, 94, of Cheyenne, died on January 8, 2023 in Cheyenne.
He was born on March 15, 1928 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Charles served in the Navy during WWII and worked as a machinist. He worked for the UP Railroad as a carman for 10 years, and as a civilian at F.E Warren AF Base on heavy duty vehicles until he retired 1984. He retired with full military honors as a civilian. Charles loved fishing with the family and spending time with the grandkids. He loved spending many hours in his yard and working with his hands.
He was loving husband and father. He often held two jobs at time to provide for his family. When he retired he enjoyed his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Charles L. Garcia, David (Sandy) Garcia, Genevieve (Jim) Mork ; grandchildren, Victoria Garcia Ingleby ( Daniel Valdez), Pamela (Gabriel) Perea Danielle (Ryan) Tortorelli, Katie (Matt) Elen, Hannah (Gregory) Marxer, Paula (Jonthan) Fagan, Kevin Garcia, Cody Powers, and Katie Powers; 14 Great grandchildren; his sister, Anna Fitzsimmons; his brother; Richard Garcia; and his sister in law, Diana Garcia.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Alfed & Hortensá Garcia; wife, Alice Garcia; daughter in law, Tita Garcia; sisters Lupe and Lucy; and brother, Robert Garcia.
Vigil for the Deceased will be Thursday, 5:00 p.m., at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
Funeral Liturgy will be Friday, 10:30 a.m., at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with military honors and burial to follow at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
