Carolyn Kay Jones

Carolyn Kay Jones was born on May 17, 1950, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, to John “Budd” and Iona Cross. She grew up with her sisters Hazel Stricker and Linda Dike, near Harrisburg. Her family ran the Hilltop Cafe between Scottsbluff and Kimball before moving to Byron, Wyoming in 1963. Carolyn graduated from Byron High School and later attended Northwest Community College. She moved to Casper, Wyoming, where she met Robert Conley. Together they had two children, Robert and Marci. Carolyn was known for making the best Kool-Aid in town, always served in a frosted glass, and for her skill in cake decorating. She enjoyed reading, drawing, and knitting beautiful pieces. Carolyn made friends wherever she went. Later in life, she returned to Western Community College to earn her associate degree in Criminal Justice. She also reconnected with her eldest daughter, Keri. Over the years, you could find her in her yard planting flowers or pruning her trees. She spent her final days surrounded by people who loved her most.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.

She is survived by her daughter Keri Rockwell, her son Robert Conley, her daughter Marci Conley and her husband Charles Reimer; six grandchildren Athena, Kaebian, Serena, ReggiLee, Brea and Luna; two great-grandchildren Silas and Kaelanie; her husband, and his three sons.
