Bryan Stanley Baker, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2025. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on August 14, 1951, to Harold C. and Dorothy M. (Anderson) Baker. Bryan dedicated over three decades of his life to the Air National Guard and was also a proud member of the Salt Lake City Fire Department and IBEW Local 415. Of all his accomplishments, though, Bryan was most proud of being a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Bryan married Shirlene (Bowers) Uresk in Cheyenne Wyoming on February 18, 1989. Together, they had six children.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents, his beloved daughter Tammy Lynn Baker, his sister Lona Baker, and his stepchildren Theresa Duran and Jason Uresk.
Bryan is survived by his treasured wife Shirlene Baker, his sons James M. and Rick James Baker, and his stepdaughter Dia Uresk. He also leaves behind cherished grandchildren Kahliee and Nykolaus Baker, Jessica Bruce, Roxanne Medina, Aiden Baker, Daniel Mathews, and Antone Duran, as well as great-grandchildren PJ, Hayla, and Preston Briggs. Bryan is further survived by his siblings, Bonnie Eckstein and Wayne Baker, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Bryan found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as camping and fishing. He will be forever remembered for his soft-spoken nature, generosity and a sense of humor that brightened the lives of those around him, leaving lasting memories filled with laughter.
