“Jean was a loved family member and avid business owner in her community. She adored helping people whenever needed. She opened her heart and home to many people in every walk of life. She was a giver and never shied away from adventures and making her family laugh. She had a passion for search and rescue. She also looked forward to hearing about her son’s airplane and enjoyed a ride with him in the plane he built. She was an avid horsewoman and loved to care for and watch them run!
Service Information: A cremation has been performed in her honor, and a celebration of life will take place in the summer at her favorite place in the mountains.
Beverly "Jean" Mason, of Cheyenne, WY passed away on January 29, 2026, at the age of 91. Known for her devotion to family and her warm smile, Jean touched the lives of all who knew her. Born on June 3, 1934, to proud parents in Stuart, Nebraska, Jean lived a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments. She married the love of her life, Robert W. Mason, on August 27, 1954. Together, they shared 29 beautiful years before Robert's passing in 1983, leaving behind a legacy of enduring love and devotion.
Jean is survived by her beloved brother Chuck and his wife Ann Shaw of Missouri, as well as their wonderful children. She leaves behind her loving daughter; Melanie D. Gothard and husband Richard "Dick" of Cheyenne; and her son, Robert C. Mason of Arvada.
Her cherished grandchildren, Travis W. Gothard and wife Emily of Oregon, and Tiffany Hayes and husband Choe of Tennessee, will forever remember her tender love and kind spirit.
She was also blessed with five precious great-grandchildren, Rogen, Ella, Macie, along with Macie's fiancé Corey Howland, as well as Amara and Annika Gothard. Jean was eagerly anticipating the arrival of her great-great-grandson, Colson Howland.
In her lifetime, Jean spread joy, kindness, and laughter wherever she went. She had a knack for making everyone around her feel special and loved. Her loving nature and sense of humor will be fondly remembered by all.
Though she may have left this world, her memory will be cherished by her family and friends as they reflect on the sweet moments shared with this remarkable woman. Rest in peace, dear Jean. You will be forever missed and always remembered with love and affection.
