Betty Vosler Stoner took her last walk-through Cheyenne and entered Heavens Door on 6/12/2025.

On March 23, 1933, Betty was born number 10 of 15 children to Floyd and Valborg (Christensen) Vosler. She graduated from Cheyenne High in 1951 and married Bill Stoner (her high school sweetheart) on March 9, 1952. They were married for 61 years until his passing in 2013.

Bill and Betty have four children, The late Kevin Dager (Bob), David (Teresa), Ann (The late Ray Rizzuto), and Rocky (Candy). The family enjoyed many years of fishing and camping.

Betty was a quilter, gardener, cook and avid reader. It wasn’t uncommon to see Betty shoveling sidewalks in her shorts.

Betty started running at the age of 49. She participated in thirteen marathons including Rawhide Marathon and twice at the Boulder Boulder. She qualified to run at the Boston Marathon in 1985 where she won a medal.

Betty is survived by three children, 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, sisters Norma Cooper, Virginia Baird and brother Dale Vosler.

She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter, parents, brothers: Carl, Lester, Albert, Robert, Glen, Chris, and Richard. Sisters: Edna Humphrey, Mildred Foltz, Margaret Perry and Ruth Wyatt.

Services will be held at E-Free Church on Tuesday June 17, 2025, at 3pm.
