Betty Webb Horn, 89, went into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 17th with her long time friend, Jim Moench at her side in the Cottonwood Creek Memory Care in Cheyenne. She was born on January 30, 1937, in Rocky Mount, North Carolina to her parents James Lewis Webb and Sarah Pittman Webb. Betty graduated from Rocky Mount High School in 1955 and followed up by attending a comptometer school in Charlotte, NC.
Betty spent her life in Rocky Mount, North Carolina; Dallas, Texas; St. Louis, Missouri and Cheyenne. She worked for Western Union 25 years, retiring as an accounting manager in St. Louis. She enjoyed a second career working for the State of Wyoming, Department of Criminal Investigation retiring after 17 years with them. She built a strong and cherished community of friends during these times.
Betty is survived by her two children Kenneth of Carolina Beach, North Carolina and Meredith Dwyer of Charlotte, North Carolina; and grandchildren Preston, Caraline, Peyton, and Logan.
Betty enjoyed spending her time thrifting, antiquing and attending many musicals at the Buell Theatre in Denver. Additionally, she loved to travel and visited many places over the years with her special companion, Jim. Together, they created many wonderful memories exploring domestic destinations from border to border coast to coast with all points in between including one international trip to Toronto for the Rolling Stones concert. She was a fan of all genre of music. Her current favorite was Modern Talking with Thomas Anders singing "You're Not Alone".
She was preceded in death by her parents and her seven brothers and sisters.
She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church where services will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. with interment to follow in Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church, Bereavement Fund or Cottonwood Creek Memory Care in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
Betty fought the good fight,
