Barbara Emily Gurule

Barbara Emily Gurule was born November 9, 1957, in Cheyenne, Wyoming, where she lived throughout her life.

Barbara worked for Laramie County School District #1 for 36 years, serving at Johnson Junior High School as well as Hebard Elementary School.

She was a devoted member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Barbara was preceded in death by her mother, Rafaela Gurule, and her father, Manuel Gurule Sr.

She is survived by her sisters, Patricia Hampton of Cheyenne and Victoria Cordero; her brothers, Donney Gurule of Cheyenne, Manuel H. Gurule, Barney L. Gurule, and her nephew, Robert Rodriguez Jr. She is also remembered by her stepdaughter, Victoria Cordero, and eight grandchildren.

A viewing will be held Tuesday from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. The Rosary will be held Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes, with Father Michael Carr officiating.

The funeral liturgy will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Father Emilio Cabrera officiating.

Pallbearers will include Luis Cordero, Milo Gurule, Carlos Gurule, Anthony Cdebaca, Joel Gurule, Leroy Lucero, and other family members and loved ones.
