Barbara Emily Gurule

Barbara Emily Gurule was born November 9, 1957, in Cheyenne, Wyoming and died September 21st, 2026 she had lived in Cheyenne all her life.

Barbara worked for Laramie County School District #1 for 36 years, serving at Johnson Junior High School as well as Hebard Elementary School.

She was a devoted member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Barbara was preceded in death by her mother, Rafaelita Gurule, and her father, Manuel Gurule Jr brothers Manuel H. Gurule, Barney L. Gurule, sister Nora L. Gurule, and her nephew, Robert Rodriguez Jr.

She is survived by her sisters, Dorothy Rodriguez of Cheyenne, Patricia Hampton of Cheyenne; her brother, Jonney Gurule of Cheyenne, She is also remembered by her stepdaughter, Victoria Cordero and stepson Roberto Olague, and eight grandchildren.

A viewing will be held Tuesday Sep. 29th from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. The Vigil for the Deceased will also be held Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes, with Father Michael Carr officiating.

The funeral liturgy will be held Wednesday Sep. 30th at 2:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Father Emilio Cabrera officiating.

Pallbearers will include Luis Cordero, Milo Gurule, Carlos Gurule, Joel Gurule, Anthony CDeBaca, Leroy Lucero, and other family members and loved ones.
