Arthur “Harry” Anton (Birdman), 64, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, March 14, 2026, while recovering from heart surgery and a stroke.
Harry was born on November 13, 1961, in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. He was raised on a farm in Tecumseh, Michigan, where he graduated from Adrian High School in 1980. Following graduation, Harry pursued technical training in welding before proudly serving his country in the United States Air Force beginning in 1981.
Throughout his life, Harry worked hard and lived fully. He spent time driving semi-trucks, hauling tanks and crude oil, and took pride in the work he did.
On December 22, 2011, Harry married the love of his life, Sandy Anton. Together, they shared 14 wonderful years filled with adventure, laughter, and a deep love for one another. Harry cherished every moment spent with Sandy, especially their time camping, attending events, and enjoying the outdoors.
Harry had a true passion for motorsports and mechanics. He loved rock crawling, drag racing, and building and working on vehicles of all kinds—from sandrails and rock crawlers to T-buckets and racecars. He rode Harleys, participated in local racing events across Wyoming, Colorado, and South Dakota, and was a proud member of the 3 Lobe Car Club. He especially treasured time spent at Garrett’s son’s shop, working on his racecar and sharing his passion with others. Cruise nights and the camaraderie of fellow enthusiasts brought him great joy.
He will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his mechanical talent, and the love he had for his family and friends.
Harry is survived by his beloved wife, Sandra S. Anton; his father, George S. Anton; his brother, Michael P. Anton; his sister, Kristy M. Anton; and his children, Justin, Bobby, and Sarah Phillips (Jeremy).
He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen A. Anton, and his daughter, Felicia R. Blevins.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Wiederspahn Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
