Annette Turner (Tibbets) passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
A woman of deep Christian faith, Annette will be remembered for her unselfish service to others, honesty, sincerity, generosity, devotion, and her ever-present smile. Her faith guided every part of her life and carried her through both joy and hardship.
Annette was born and raised in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and graduated from East High School, where she met the love of her life, Bill Turner. They married in 1983 and began a journey together that spanned more than 42 years. In 1984, they moved to Twenty-Nine Palms, California, while Bill was stationed with the United States Marine Corps. Their son, David Lee Turner, was born in 1986, and later that year the family returned to Cheyenne.
Annette was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother—“Grandma” being her favorite title. For the first 24 years of their marriage, she faithfully supported Bill throughout his military career, providing a steady and loving home while he was deployed or attending training. She loved her family fiercely and found great joy in time spent with both her immediate and extended family.
Annette worked in the medical field, where her compassion and kindness were evident to all who knew her. She had a smile for everyone, even during the most difficult times, and her care for others left a lasting impression.
In 2022, Annette was diagnosed with breast cancer. She faced the disease with grace, dignity, and strength—and she won that battle. Following her recovery, she reached out to other women fighting breast cancer, assembling care boxes filled with encouragement and comforting items. In 2025, she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and once again fought with the same determination and courage. Annette was truly a warrior.
She touched countless lives and will be remembered for her warmth, her sense of humor, and her unwavering faith in Christ.
Annette was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Ruth Ann Tibbets.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Bill Turner; her son and his wife, ; her beloved grandchildren; her brother, Tim Tibbets, and his wife, Deb; and her sister, Sandy Hinners, and her husband, Frank.
A celebration of Annette’s life will be held on February 17 at 2:00 p.m. at Cheyenne Hills Church, Cheyenne, Wyoming.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Annette’s honor to breast cancer and pancreatic cancer research organizations.
“Well done, good and faithful servant… Enter into the joy of your Lord.”
Matthew 25:21
Her legacy of love, faith, and service will live on in all who were blessed to know her.
