Listen to Obituary

Angelita “Angie” Plasencio Pacheco, 75, of Laramie, Wyoming, entered into eternal rest on October 30, 2025. She was born on January 31, 1950, in Mason, Texas to Francisco and Benita Plasencio.

As a young girl, Angie moved with her family to Nebraska and later to Cheyenne, Wyoming, where she spent her formative years. Following the unexpected passing of her parents, Angie lovingly stepped into the role of caregiver for her younger siblings, raising them as though they were her own. Later, Angie and her husband made the move from Cheyenne to Laramie where they spent the remainder of their lives. Her compassion and strength became defining traits that she carried throughout her life.

Angie was married for 50 wonderful years to the love of her life, Ernesto Pacheco, with whom she built a beautiful family grounded in love, laughter, and faith. Together, they raised their children and created a home that was always filled with warmth, good food, and open doors for anyone in need.

She is survived by her devoted children: Ernie (Diana) Plasencio, Joe (Testa) Pacheco of Cheyenne, Benny (Lilly) Plasencio of Laramie, and Angie (David) Candelaria of Surprise, Arizona. Angie was a proud grandmother to April (Ben) Grisham of Escalon, CA; Emelio (Kelly) Candelaria, Ashly Candelaria, Amber Plasencio, and Aaron Candelaria of Laramie, WY; Susan (Derrick) Wells and Matthew Pacheco of Cheyenne, WY; and Amanda (Anthony) Candelaria and Christopher Plasencio of Denver, CO. She was also blessed with 15 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews who brought her endless joy.

Angie is also survived by her beloved siblings Frank Plasencio of Denver, CO; Amelia (Ezequiel) Plasencio, Lida Plasencio, and Mary Davis of Cheyenne; her brother-in-law Billy (Debbie) Pacheco; and sisters-in-law Esther, Rosalie, Marie, and Beverly.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ernesto Pacheco, her son Frank Pacheco, and her grandson Nicholas Pacheco; along with her parents Francisco and Benita Plasencio; siblings Gilbert (Annie) Plasencio, Andrew Plasencio, and Della Pino; brothers-in-law Nelson, Christopher, Frank, Roy, Benny Pacheco, and George Martinez; and sister-in-law Dorothy Plasencio.

For 16 years, Angie worked at the University of Wyoming Union, where her kindness and smile touched countless lives. After retiring, she continued to serve her community through her work at the Eppson Center for Seniors in Laramie, where she took great pride in preparing and delivering meals to others.

Angie’s greatest joy was her family. She loved cooking for everyone, celebrating togetherness, and helping anyone who crossed her path. Her generosity knew no bounds—whether you were family or not, Angie’s heart had room for you.

She will be remembered for her selfless love, her laughter, her incredible meals, and her unwavering devotion to those she loved. Angie leaves behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and strength that will live on through every life she touched.
