Angelita was born in Central, New Mexico December 24th, 1923. She was a little girl during the great depression. She had many memories of the hardships of those days and would tell her children to always be grateful even for the little they have. Angelita had to drop out of school at a young age to care for her siblings while her parents worked in the beet fields.
She was a hard worker all her life and continued to work into her late 80’s. She was outside chopping wood or inside sewing in the winter and working on her garden in the spring and summer. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. She loved to sew, garden and cook. She had a beautiful voice and would often sing her Mexican songs while her relatives played their guitars. She leaves everyone who knew her with many beautiful memories of her generousness and her funny antics that will live on in the hearts of many.
Angelita is survived by her son Robert (Theresa) Martinez, daughters Lenora Munoz, Sally Vigil and daughter in law Dorothy Martinez and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and one great great great grandchild.
