Althea Belle Acker, 88, October 22 2025, born April 30th 1937 In Huron, South Dakota, passed away on October 22, 2025.
Althea was a ER Nurse for 50 years at CRMC, she dedicated her whole life to helping people & raising her granddaughter Rhiannon. Before Althea took on the responsibility of raising her granddaughter she was apart of Sweet Adeline’s Choir & enjoyed bowling in a local bowling league. When Althea had Rhiannon she took a lot of time to get Rhiannon into competitive elite gymnastics starting her at a very young age dedicating her time to the sport with her granddaughter, she loved watching Rhiannon compete and spent most of her time with Rhiannon at the gymnastics gym when Rhiannon was younger. When Althea had time to do what she loved, she loved to read books in her favorite rocking chair and in her gazebo on the nice days, you would always see Althea with a book in hand. Althea also loved to garden that was her favorite hobby besides reading. Any nice day you would catch her outside in her sun hat gardening & looking at catalogs for new flowers for her gardens those where her favorite things to do reading and gardening; except on Sundays during football season, those days where spent in her tv room cheering on the broncos, she loved the broncos as much as flowers & books.
Althea is survived by granddaughter Rhiannon N Mosebrook (Gerald Penaflor Jr) and Bonus granddaughter, Miracle M Gartner; Great Granddaughters, Astraea Penaflor, Norah Penaflor; bonus great granddaughter, Olivia Moore; and a great grandson by Rhiannon and Gerald expected February 2026.
Althea is preceded in Death by her parents, Estel and Alta Day Dillman; brothers Clyde, Dana and Robert Dillman; and her son, Michael B Mosebrook.
