Born to Albert W. "Kelly" Gregory and Clara Fay Allen in Cheyenne, Wyoming on August 24, 1935. Brother Ronald was there to welcome him, they both later welcomed brother Gary. He died at home in Centennial Wyoming on June 28, 2026, on his family’s homestead.

Dale attended Cheyenne schools, graduating from Cheyenne High in 1953. He and Barbara Case were married in 1955, they became parents to Eric, Sherri and Kevin.

Dale was baptized in the First Christian Church by the Rev. Ray Borgaard, as a child he walked to the EUB , now Faith Methodist, for Sunday School. He was a member of Christ United Methodist in Sterling, Colorado and First United Methodist in Cheyenne. His love of music led him to the choir in each church and Barbershop Chorus in Sterling and Cheyenne.

Dale’s work life was varied. He started that early as a carrier of Wyoming Eagle newspapers, then on to being a salesman for Flory’s Shoes, an inspector for Equifax, a sales associate with NML, a brakeman on the UPRR, an agent for BC/BS of Wyoming, retiring after eighteen years.

Dale loved being with people. He joined Toastmasters International, becoming District 26 governor in 1964. He was a longtime member of Cheyenne Kiwanis.

An animal lover never without a pet, or two, or more. An avid collector of coins, a charter member of Cheyenne Coin Club, stamps, vintage glass and furniture. His love of collecting Aladdin Mantle Lamps led to the post-retirement business “ Wagon Wheel Enterprises” sales of lamps, parts and repairs.

Predeceased by his parents Kelly and Clara Fay, son Kevin and brother Ronald.

Survived by his wife Barbara, son Eric and wife Arlene Gregory, daughter Sherri and husband Steve Schmidt, brother Gary and wife Linda Gregory. Grandchildren Heather Doughty, Eric Olson and Matthew Schreiner.

Also survived by Tori, the cat who chose Dale.
