Listen to Obituary

Adam Wesley Hilzer was born in Keota, Colorado on June 25, 1935. He was the youngest of 10, in yours, mine, and our blended family. After finishing High School in Gill, CO, he then entered the Army in November 1953. He was stationed in Germany, and served in a variety of roles, mostly as a Switchboard Operator. He was a member of the Elks Fraternal Organization for 56 years. He was a long-time fan of the Denver Broncos. He was a semi-tractor trailer driver, both long and day haul mostly centered from the Denver area. Adam was an avid card player. He traveled the USA and Mexico with his wife in their RV for many years after retirement, making a lot of friends and acquaintances along the way. Adam moved to Wyoming to stay with his niece, Jonna Hilzer-Dickie, the last 2 years of his life, where Jonna cared for him in her home with her family. Adam is survived by three daughters, Heather, Cindy, and LaDonna.
