Santos M. Munoz, Sr.

Santos Michael Muñoz, Sr., 61, of Cheyenne, passed away at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 8, 1961, in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Rosie and Fred Muñoz, Sr. Santos loved spending time with his family. He worked for the United States Postal Service for 33 years. He was a great craftsman and artist, loved playing card games and billiards, fishing, and enjoyed watching Raiders games, win or lose. Santos was the recipient of a kidney donation from his wife, Lorraine. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Lorraine Muñoz; daughters, Felicia Muñoz and Ashley Muñoz; sons, Santos Muñoz, Jr. and Justin Muñoz; grandchildren, Brock Muñoz, Keona Herrera, and Yesenia Muñoz; mother-in-law, Beatrice Renteria; and a large extended family. Santos was preceded in death by his mother, Rosie Muñoz; father, Fred Muñoz, Sr.; sister, Eleanor Whitley; and brother, Freddie Muñoz, Jr. Rosary will be held Thursday at 6:00 p.m. at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel. Funeral Liturgy will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s Cathedral. Interment to follow at the Olivet Cemetery followed by a reception at St. Mary’s Parish Hall.
