    Lyle Ray Shook

    October 24, 1932 - March 10, 2022

    Lyle Ray Shook, 89, passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2022 of natural causes. Lyle was born on October 24, 1932 in Burlington, Colorado to Lawrence and Leona Shook. He served honorably as a corporal in the U.S. Army and became a teacher of mathematics at Cheyenne Central High School, retiring in 1993 after 33 years. Lyle always encouraged family, friends, and students to aspire and achieve in life. He will be missed by friends but mostly by his family. He is survived by his three sons, Karlyle Shook of Pahrump, Nevada, Kyle Shook of Cheyenne, Wyoming, and Kent Shook of Thermopolis, Wyoming; grandchildren, Ashton Shook, Isaac Shook, Marissa Shook, and Kaylee Shook; great grandchildren, Alysha Shook and Jackson Shook; and his niece, Penny Fittipaldi of Cheyenne along with her children, Jessica and Zach Ramsey. Mr. Shook was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 43 years, Karen Joyce Shook in 2000. Services will be Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel with interment to follow in Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
