    Helen Willette Willis

    December 10, 1931 - November 27, 2021

    Helen Willette Willis, 89, of Cheyenne, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on November 27, 2021. She was born on December 10, 1931 in Grover, Colorado to Charles and Signe Ebberson. Helen grew up in Briggsdale, CO where she met the love of her life Lynn Willis whom she married on May 3, 1959. They soon moved to Cheyenne, WY and together raised three daughters. Willis worked for LCSD #1 Nutrition Services for 20 years and was faithfully devoted to Fellowship Baptist Church for many years. She enjoyed sewing and baking, but most importantly spending time with her family. Helen is survived by her three daughters Karen (Paul) Grantz, Marla Brightly, and Diane Sluss (Ted McCleave) all of Cheyenne; grandchildren Logan (Krista) Grantz, Austin Grantz, Emily (Chris) Brassard, Andrew (Sarah) Grantz, Quinton Grantz, Lindsey (Noah) Humble, Jill Grantz, Trent (Lindsi) Brightly, Christine (Jessie) Meyers, Tyler Harvill (Lindsey Hall), Chelsea (Brett) Drake, and Haley Sluss (Zakk Keller); and 11 great-grandchildren. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Lynn Willis; parents, Charles and Signe Ebberson; a brother, Carl Ebberson; and a sister Charlotte Ebberson. Services will be Thursday, December 9, 2021, 2:00 p.m., at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel with burial to follow at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
