Helen P. Ortega, 87, of Cheyenne, passed away on May 23, 2022 in Cheyenne. She was born on February 23, 1935 in Cheyenne. She married Jesse Ortega on March 27, 1954 in Fort Collins, Colorado. She is survived by her daughter, Ronda (Richard) Kolinske; stepgranddaughters, Sukii Kolinske and Shonee (Paul) Lesh; stepgrandsons, Garrett and Gavin Lesh; sister, Barbara (Robert) West and their daughter, Deb (Al) Laughlin; and sister-in-law, Judith Brown and her children, Russell and Penny Brown, Bobbie Knapp, and Brenda Templeton. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Herschel Brown and Daisy Stockmyer; stepfather, Floyd Stockmyer; husband, Jesse Ortega; daughter, Denise Ortega; brother, Hershel Brown; sister, Jeanette Schneider and her sons, Michael and Mark Schneider; and a nephew, Robert Lee West. Viewing will be Wednesday, 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel. Services will be Thursday, 10:00 a.m., at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel with burial to follow in Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
