    Dorothy "Dotti" M. Shockley

    July 9, 1932 - April 22, 2022

Dorothy “Dotti” Shockley was a mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left the world on April 22, 2022, at the age of 89, at the Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne, WY. Dotti was born to Lester and Lily Oldham in Topeka, Kansas on July 9, 1932. She is survived by her two children, John (Lori Miller) Stephens and Cheryl (Rickey) Bluel; grandchildren; great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Dotti was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Donald, and Richard Oldham; sister, Dallene Mamales; sons, Timothy and Michael Stephens. Dotti was dedicated to service, having worked at Little America when she first came to Wyoming, as a banquet waitress. Then later she went to the Hitching Post for over 30 years. She loved meeting the travelers and politicians which gave her a very keen sense of wit! Joking but serious too, being direct….spicy! Her generosity and willingness to volunteer at AMVets, as it was founded in Cheyenne. She was a blessing to the community and veterans. She loved the ocean; she saw beauty from the clouds in the sky to the rocks on the ground. She enjoyed baking and cooking for friends and family. Other hobbies she loved were painting, ceramics, and gardening. She was also up for a game of BINGO! Service will be announced at a later date.
