    Alejandro Alfredo "Alo" Sandoval

    December 17, 1981 - October 12, 2021

Alejandro “Alo” Alfredo Sandoval Jr. was called home on October 12, 2021, at the age of 39, he was surrounded by his family at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. The world lost a great son, brother, father, family member and friend. Alo was born December 17, 1981 in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Linda and Alex Sandoval. After the birth of Alo’s first son, he pursued a career as a commercial truck driver. He was also a member of the Catholic Church. If you asked Alejandro what was his greatest accomplishment was, he would say being a father. He is survived by his parents Linda Sandoval and Herm Mellem, his significant other Heather Canarecci, whom he loved dearly, his sons Carlos, Angelo and Romman Sandoval, who were his greatest joy and who he wanted to carry on the family name, his siblings Adriana Castaneda (Adolf), Theresa Benson (Michael), Janette Vigil (Eddie Cisneros), Alex Sandoval, his grandparents Gloria and Larry Kiser, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and life-long friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Alejandro “Alex” Sandoval Sr., his grandparents Rumaldita and Pacomio Sandoval as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Throughout his life, Alo cultivated many lifelong friendships. He was spontaneous and was not afraid to get up and go. He made friends every place he went. He was a gentle, kind spirit that had a passion for helping others. He was a rare combination of someone who had a love of life and an understanding of what was important — the simplicity of living a life with those you love. Alejandro was an avid sports fan and loved all Denver teams, especially the Denver Broncos and the Wyoming Cowboys. He would often be seen wearing one of his many jerseys from his massive collection and could be found chanting W. Y. O. Alo found solace in nature, he spent countless weekends with his family and friends fishing and camping. Alejandro’s life was a collection of stories. Each person that he came into contact with has a story to tell. We ask you to remember this message: keep making stories. It is our stories that connect us and unite us. It is through our stories that we can change the world. Alejandro’s services will held at Saint Mary’s on October 21, 2021 at 10:00 a.m., please wear your favorite Broncos jersey, Wyoming apparel or Harley gear.
